Q + A

What's the best way to get to the venue?

We recommend taking an outstation cab (Uber or Meru) from the airport. The cab is $60-$100 one way for a 5-hour ride and accommodates 4 people. We may arrange a shuttle from the resort to the Delhi airport after checkout on the 6th morning. Reach out to Neha (+5105704886) if you're interested in taking it. You can also take trains from Delhi to Ramnagar (Overnight Shatabdi AC2/ AC3). Trains can be a lot of fun if you want to maximize your experience in India. They are not as hassle-free and door-to-door as cabs.

Wedding Dress Code: What to wear and How many outfits

We recommend 3 main outfits: one for Day 1 (Sangeet): This is the closest you'll get to attending Met Gala (Bollywood version). Think sequins, saris, sherwanis, and enough bling to make Karan Johar jealous. For Day 2 morning (Haldi), wear something yellow; bonus points for sunglasses to dodge the turmeric splashes in style. For Day 2 evening (Reception), bring your A-game with something formal, fabulous, and photo-ready. Whether it’s Indian ethnic or Indowestern, just make sure you are comfortable enough to dance or reach for paneer twice later in the evening. Outside of these, we recommend bringing two comfortable outfits for morning ceremonies - preferably Indian (eg: light Kurta or sarees) but jeans/casuals are completely fine.

What is the weather like in the area?

Ah, North India in February is a little like a confused intern, trying their best but not quite consistent. Expect crisp mornings, pleasantly warm afternoons, and evenings cold enough to make you question your life choices if you didn’t bring a jacket. During the day, you’ll be thinking, “Wow, this feels amazing!” but by night, it’s more like, “Why did I think a shawl was enough?” Our advice: bring layers, just in case. Worst case, you can huddle near the chai station with us.

What date should I RSVP by?

Asap, as we need to allocate accommodations. If you're a Maybe, please text us so we can keep some buffer rooms for you. If you do not RSVP or text us by Dec 15th, we'd still love to have you but you'd have to manage accommodations on your own.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

In true middle-child fashion, we couldn’t decide—so we'll be doing both. Some ceremonies are indoors and some outdoors. The main wedding ceremony will be indoors.

Do I need a visa to travel to India?

US citizens can get an E-visa with 24 hours of turnaround. Check this site for more details https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html Reach out to Neha at +15105704886 if needed.

How do I signup for dancing/karaoke at the Sangeet?
